Grade 6 Math Compare & Order Numbers
Unit Plan: 180 Learning Activities for Grade 6 Mathematics based on the new LearnAlberta curriculum from Alberta Education. Includes embedded instructional videos for all student learning outcomes in each learning activity. There are 180 instructional days in the school year.
Student Learning Outcomes Included:
Compare & Order Numbers: identify compare, order and express positive and negative numbers (in familiar contexts), both concretely and symbolically using: vertical or horizontal modes of the number line and additive inverses, relation of magnitude to the distance from zero on the number line, the relationship between two numbers using greater than/less than/equal to, and addition and its additive inverse, subtraction and its difference as a sum, the sum of two positive and/or negative integers, and the sum of zero in multiple ways.
